HSM4001B Frequency Synthesizer by Holzworth Instrumentation
The HSM4001B from Holzworth Instrumentation is a Frequency Synthesizer that operates from 10 MHz to 4 GHz. This microwave CW source is architected on a non-PLL based platform. The digital-analog hybrid design provides excellent phase noise performance and spurious response, which compliment the phase coherent nature of these digital-analog hybrid signal sources. It provides output power from -70 to 20 dBm and has a phase noise of -122 dBc/Hz at 4 GHz. This device has a harmonics of -40 dBc and a spurious of -70 dBc. It has a switching speed of less than 6 µs with phase memory and an onboard precision 100 MHz OCXO.
The module can be controlled directly via the SPI bus, the Holzworth GUI, a preloaded lookup table, LabVIEW, MATLAB, C++, C#, etc. The HSM4001B is available in a module and is ideal for electronics design, manufacturing test, and OEM system integration.
