CMX90A007 RF Amplifier by CML Microcircuits
The CMX90A007 from CML Microcircuits is a Two-Stage GaAs Driver Amplifier that operates from 136 to 1000 MHz. It delivers an output power of 2.2 W (~33.5 dBm) with a small signal gain of 27 dB and a collector efficiency of 50%. This driver amplifier is fabricated using a GaAs HBT process and integrates an active bias circuit and wideband interstage match, which eases the design effort and minimizes external components along with the PCB area. It requires a DC supply of 6 to 9.5 V and consumes less than 0.7 A of current.
The CMX90A007 requires external matching at both input and output to optimize performance. This two-stage amplifier is available in a VQFN-16 lead package measuring 4 x 4 mm. It is ideal for critical communications, two-way radios, marine radio, wireless data modems, and public safety applications.
