The Decimator D4 from Calian is an RF Spectrum and Signal Analyzer that operates from 5 MHz to 6.75 GHz. It has built-in features like carrier monitoring, cross-pol measurements, and DVB S/S2/S2X signal demodulation and signal analysis. This analyzer can monitor up to 100 carriers within defined limits for power in a carrier and the presence of a carrier. It has a very low noise floor with a phase noise of less than -125 dBc/Hz and a large dynamic range of -110 to +5 dBm, which is ideal for measuring any type of satellite, cable, or terrestrial wireless carrier in a teleport, cable headend, wireless, or broadcast facility. This analyzer has an input isolation of more than 55 dB and an input return loss of -15 dB.
The Decimator D4 has a Cross-Pol Isolation measurement function that allows display of Co-Pol and Cross-Pol signals simultaneously, along with the isolation value. It comes with an integrated 8-port RF switching capability and is available with either a 4-port deployment to an 8-port license via a software license key. This analyzer also has a Carrier Monitoring function that provides notification via email or SNMP of carrier measurements that exceed user-defined thresholds, offering peace of mind that carriers are operating as expected. It can be controlled via an Ethernet Interface.
The Decimator D4 requires an AC supply of 90-264 V and consumes 25 W of power. It is available in a standard 19″ 1RU enclosure that measures 48.5 x 5.00 x 44 cm and has Type F or SMA connectors for RF input. This analyzer is ideal for local or remote monitoring of multiple feeds and carriers in satellite, cable, or terrestrial networks.
