LabSat 4 Adds Xona Pulsar Signal Support for Next-Generation PNT Testing

LabSat 4 now supports the recording and replay of Xona Space Systems’ Pulsar™ signals, including Pulsar X1 and X5, enabling engineers to test emerging low Earth orbit (LEO) positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) technologies in a controlled, repeatable environment.

LabSat 4 users can capture live Pulsar signals that reflect real-world operating conditions and replay them in the lab. This capability allows developers, integrators and test engineers to evaluate receiver performance, resilience and interoperability as LEO-based PNT solutions begin to complement and augment traditional GNSS.

Xona’s Pulsar constellation is designed to deliver high-power, encrypted signals from LEO, offering improved robustness in challenging environments such as urban canyons, or in the presence of interference. By supporting both Pulsar X1 and X5, LabSat 4 enables detailed testing across frequencies relevant to current and future receiver designs.

LabSat 4’s wideband recording and high-fidelity replay ensure that complex signal interactions can be analysed repeatedly, reducing the need for costly field-testing and accelerating development cycles.

The addition of Pulsar signal support reinforces LabSat 4’s position as a future-ready GNSS and PNT test platform, helping engineers validate next-generation navigation technologies with confidence before deployment.
