JODY-B1 Series RF Module by u-blox AG
The JODY-B1 Series from u-blox are Automotive-Grade Bluetooth 5.4 Modules. They are designed and tested to meet the high reliability requirements of in-vehicle infotainment and telematics applications. These AEC-Q104-qualified modules are based on Qualcomm’s QCA8695AU chipset and include a security block, an antenna & serial interfaces. They also offer an option of using the built-in LTE coexistence filter for enhanced connectivity. These modules support Bluetooth core 5.4 protocol with dual-mode (Classic and LE) connectivity, enabling simultaneous connections. These modules deliver a Tx output power of up to 14 dBm and have an Rx sensitivity of -109 dBm.
The JODY-B1 Series support multiple Bluetooth capabilities such as advertising extension, high duty cycle directed advertising, and LE audio, along with Qualcomm’s aptX audio technology. These Bluetooth modules also incorporate full AES hardware encryption and secure boot features to protect communication links. They can be controlled remotely from a host processor running a Linux or Android OS using a UART interface. These Bluetooth modules require a DC supply of 1.8 V and 3.3 V. They are available in compact LGA packages that measure 13.8 x 19.8 x 2.5 mm.
