The QPF4609E from Qorvo is a Wi-Fi 7 Front-End Module (FEM) that operates from 5.925 to 7.125 GHz, covering all U-NII-5 to U-NII-8 bands. It integrates a 6 GHz power amplifier (PA), single-pole double-throw (SP2T) switch, RF coupler, DC logarithmic power detector, and a bypassable low-noise amplifier (LNA) into a single package. This front-end module delivers a saturated output power (Psat) of +31 dBm, 32 dB of transmit gain, 14.5 dB of receive gain, and has a noise figure of 1.5 dB. It provides 26 dB of receive-path rejection and supports digital pre-distortion (DPD) using an integrated RF coupler for feedback training.

The QPF4609E is optimized for 5 V operation and consumes 1.9 W of DC power while delivering +27 dBm of output power. It is available in a 16-pad laminate package measuring 3.0 × 3.0 mm. This Wi-Fi 7 front-end module is ideal for access points, wireless routers, residential gateways, customer premises equipment (CPE), and Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

The Qorvo® QPF4609E is an integrated front end module (FEM) designed for Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) systems. The small form factor and integrated matching minimizes layout area in the application.

Performance is focused on optimizing the PA for a 5V supply voltage that minimizes power consumption to allow for systems that use digital pre-distortion to achieve the highest linear output power and leading edge throughput for the RF chain. This is done across a wide bandwidth enabling operation in all channels from UNII5-8 (5.925 to 7.125 GHz).

A coupler with RF output is integrated for DPD feedback training. For power control a broadrange, constant slope voltage logarithmic power detector is provided for application feedback.

The QPF4609E integrates a 6 GHz power amplifier (PA), single pole two throw switch (SP2T), coupler structure and bypassable low noise amplifier (LNA) into a single device.
