Qorvo QPC2420 0.02 – 30 GHz, SOI SPDT Switch in a 2.25 x 2.25 mm OVM QFN package

The QPC2420 from Qorvo is a reflective SPDT switch that operates from 0.02 to 30 GHz. This switch is fabricated using SOI technology and can be configured as an SPST switch by terminating the unused RF port with a 50-ohm load. It has an insertion loss of less than 1.5 dB and provides more than 40 dB of isolation. This 50-ohm switch can handle up to 1 W of CW input power and has a return loss of more than 12 dB. It has a switching time of less than 50 ns, an RF settling time of less than 66 ns, and provides an input P1dB of 33 dBm.

The QPC2420 requires a DC supply of 3.15 to 5.5 V and draws 100 µA of current. The switch is available in a 12-pad QFN package that measures 2.25 × 2.25 × 0.92 mm. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C and is designed for high-isolation switching applications in defense and commercial systems, including electronic warfare (EW) and test and measurement applications.

Operating from 0.02 to 30GHz, the QPC2420 typically supports up to 2W input power handling at control voltages of 0/+3 V.
