Join Chasen Bell, Sales Intern at Taoglas, as he introduces the WLA.05 – the smallest ceramic substrate Wi-Fi® loop antenna in the Taoglas portfolio, engineered for ultra-compact wireless devices where every millimeter counts.

Measuring just 1.6 x 0.8 x 0.3 mm, the WLA.05 delivers reliable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE), Thread, Zigbee®, and WLAN connectivity in an exceptionally small footprint. Designed for applications where traditional chip antennas won’t fit, it offers designers greater flexibility without compromising RF performance.

Despite its miniature size, the WLA.05 provides excellent radiation efficiency and requires a smaller ground plane and keep-out area than conventional 2.4 GHz chip antennas. Its drop-in replacement design simplifies integration while enabling equal or improved wireless performance in wearables, connected healthcare devices, personal safety systems, and IoT sensors.

Supplied on tape and reel, the WLA.05 is fully compatible with automated pick-and-place assembly, making it ideal for high-volume manufacturing.
