The NORA-B266 from u-blox is a Standalone Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 6.0 Module. It is a globally certified solution that helps reduce time, cost, and effort for customers integrating this module into their designs. This module also supports other wireless protocols such as Thread, Zigbee, Matter, and NFC (NFC-A for pairing data). It is based on Nordic Semiconductor’s nRF54L10 chipset and includes an ARM Cortex-M33 processor, security functions, and an integrated antenna. This BLE module supports a range of operating modes such as channel sounding for accurate ranging, Bluetooth long range, BLE serial port service, GATT client and server, beacons, and simultaneous peripheral and central roles.

The NORA-B266 offers PSA-certified Level 3 top security, making this module ideal for security-sensitive applications such as point-of-sales terminals and medical devices. It also provides top-grade security with secure boot and 128-bit AES encryption, which ensures that the module only boots up with the authenticated u-blox’s u-connectXpress software. This software allows hosts to easily configure connectivity using AT commands through several interfaces – UART SPI, and I2C. The module delivers an output power of 10 dBm. It requires a DC supply of 1.7-3.6 V. This BLE module is available in a package that measures 10.4 x 14.3 x 1.9 mm.
