Mini-Circuits Introduces 3.5W MMIC Power Amplifier for X-Band Applications

Mini-Circuits has introduced the PMA5-123-3W+, a 3.5W MMIC power amplifier designed to deliver high dynamic range and linear power across the 8 to 12 GHz frequency range. This new amplifier offers nearly 30 dB of gain, making it an ideal driver stage for both pulsed and linear systems. With its compact 5 x 5 mm QFN-style package, the PMA5-123-3W+ is well-suited for applications requiring efficient size, weight, and power (SWaP) performance, including X-band radar, wireless communications, and VSAT systems.

The PMA5-123-3W+ provides an output P1dB of +34.4 dBm and a saturated output power of +35.7 dBm, ensuring robust power delivery for demanding applications. It also provides an output third-order intercept point (OIP3) of +43.8 dBm, offering exceptional linearity for high PAPR signals. This amplifier’s combination of high power, compact form factor, and linear power delivery makes it a versatile solution for advanced RF and microwave systems.

Mini-Circuits continues to expand its MMIC power amplifier portfolio with solutions that deliver high dynamic range and exceptional linearity across various frequency bands.
