AWMF-0240 Beamforming IC by Qorvo

The AWMF-0240 from Qorvo is a Ku-band Rx SATCOM Beamformer IC that operates from 10.7 to 12.75 GHz. It supports 4 dual-polarization radiating elements with flexible polarization (RHCP, LHCP, linear) or 8 antenna elements with fixed polarization. This beamformer IC has a coherent gain of 30 dB with a 6-bit phase control (LSB=5.625°) and a 7-bit gain control (LSB-0.25 dB). It is capable of reporting telemetry and high-accuracy temperature sensing. This beamformer IC has integrated filters for Tx/Rx coexistence and has a low noise figure, eliminating the need for external LNAs. It requires a DC supply of 1.2 V and is available in an FC-CSP package. It is ideal for SATCOM flat panel terminals, LEO/MEO/GEO orbits, government/commercial mobility and enterprise system applications.
