PMA3-73-1W+ RF Amplifier by Mini-Circuits

The PMA3-73-1W+ from Mini-Circuits is a GaAs Power Amplifier (PA) MMIC that operates from 300 to 7500 MHz. It delivers a saturated output power of 33.5 dBm (~2.24 W) with a gain of 21.3 dB and has a power-added efficiency (PAE) of less than 50%. This PA offers a flat gain and output power, making it an excellent choice for wideband systems. It has high OIP3 and low 2nd & 3rd harmonic responses, resulting in very low in-band distortion products that are typically needed for high fidelity measurement systems.

The PMA3-73-1W+ is available in a compact footprint that saves space in dense layouts while providing low inductance, repeatable transitions, and excellent thermal contact to the PCB. This RoHS-compliant power amplifier requires a DC supply of +12 V and consumes 190 mA of current. It is available in a 12-lead QFN package that measures 3 x 3 mm. This MMIC power amplifier is ideal for use in microwave radio, VSAT, EW, and ECM defense systems, test & measurement, and radar applications.
