7929 Series Digital Phase Shifter by KRATOS General Microwave

The Model 7929 from KRATOS General Microwave is a Programmable PIN Diode Phase Shifter that operates from 18 to 40 GHz. It consists of a combiner, modulators, and a 3 dB hybrid coupler. This phase shifter uses an RF vector modulator approach to produce the desired phase-shifted output achieving high phase accuracy and PM/AM performance using double-balanced, bi-phase linear amplitude modulators. It has a phase shift range of 360° and a phase accuracy of ±15°. This programmable phase shifter has a switching speed of less than 500 ns.

The Model 7929 uses a high-speed TTL-based logic (with 10-bit resolution) for control. This RoHS-compliant digital phase shifter requires a DC supply of +/- 12 to +/-15 V or +5 V and consumes less than 125 mA of current. It is available in a module that measures 1.95 x 1.67 x 0.52 inches and has K-type connectors. This phase shifter is ideal for airborne applications.
