SCRS-00-1003 Integrated Microwave Assembly by Spectrum Control
The SCRS-00-1003 from Spectrum Control is a Dual-Channel mmWave Block Up Converter (BUC) that converts input frequencies from 6.25-14.25 GHz (Band 1)/3-17 GHz (Band 2) to output frequencies from 18-26 GHz (Band 1)/26-40 GHz (Band 2). It is part of Spectrum Control’s RF + SiP platform that delivers the capabilities of an integrated microwave assembly (IMA) in a compact package. This BUC consists of an Intel FPGA, 12 voltage regulators, 12 RF amplifiers, 2 digital attenuators, 3 RF detectors, and 10 RF filters. It also includes an on-board memory that provides storage capacity for calibration data to support optimal performance over wide temperature ranges. This converter provides a gain of 22-28 dB with a noise figure of 9 dB and has an output P1dB of 10 dBm.
The SCRS-00-1003 has a built-in digital gateway with customizable parallel or serial interfaces to control and provide status of filter bands, amplifier gain, attenuation levels, ON/OFF and sequencing in regulators, detector threshold, and temperature. This BUC is available in a surface-mount package that measures 30 x 30 mm. It is ideal for test and measurement equipment, aerospace, unmanned systems, smart antennas, wireless communications, electronic warfare, and radar applications.
