As a highly modular and highly automated embedded Linux system, OpenWrt features a rich software package ecosystem and an active developer community, providing robust software support for 5G terminal development. With the OpenWrt system, developers can directly reuse a vast array of mature network protocol stacks, routing functions, security components, and application services, eliminating the need to build the underlying software architecture from scratch.
For products such as FWA CPE and industrial gateways, OpenWrt natively supports multi‑WAN aggregation, QoS traffic scheduling, VPN tunnels, firewalls, and other network functionalities. Combined with 5G high‑speed access capabilities, it enables the rapid construction of fully functional finished products.
