Redefine USB Vector Signal Generator: HAROGIC Launches New SGF-60 USB Vector Signal Generator

HAROGIC Technologies announced the launch of the SGF-60, a high-performance, compact USB Vector Signal Generator (VSG) designed to meet the rigorous demands of next-generation wireless communications and wideband RF component testing. Covering frequencies from 9 kHz to 6 GHz, the SGF-60 introduces a breakthrough architecture featuring an ultra-wide 320 MHz modulation bandwidth, 1 GB onboard waveform memory, and exceptional phase noise performance of -134 dBc/Hz @ 1 GHz (10 kHz offset).

As wireless communication standards advance toward wider channel bandwidths and higher modulation schemes, test engineers require benchtop-grade spectrum purity and modulation fidelity in increasingly flexible form factors. The SGF-60 answers this challenge by delivering laboratory-grade RF generation in a lightweight, modular USB platform.

Key Technical Highlights of the SGF-60

320 MHz Modulation Bandwidth: native support for the wide channel allocations, including full 320 MHz Wi-Fi signal generation, 5G NR carrier aggregation, and wideband chirps for radar and electronic warfare (EW) simulations.

1 GB Deep Waveform Memory: expands onboard playback capacity to 1 GB RAM (an 8× increase over standard models), enabling seamless playback of long, unrepeated protocol bursts, multi-emitter environments, and real-world IQ captures without PC bus throughput bottlenecks.

SGF-60 delivers low phase noise of -132 dBc/Hz @ 1 GHz (10 kHz offset) alongside substantially improved harmonic suppression and non-harmonic spurious rejection—ensuring clean EVM performance and reliable receiver blocking tests.

Flexible Software Ecosystem: Fully supported by HAROGIC’s SGStudio software suite, alongside cross-platform APIs for C/C++, C#, Python, MATLAB, and LabVIEW on Windows and Linux systems.

Typical Applications

Next-Generation Wireless Communications (Wi-Fi & 5G NR): playback full 320 MHz bandwidth Wi-Fi signals and 5G NR multi-carrier waveforms to test EVM performance, demodulation accuracy, and transceiver throughput under complex modulation schemes.

Wideband Radar & Electronic Warfare (EW) Simulation: Simulates ultra-fast, wideband linear frequency modulation (LFM) chirps, agile frequency-hopping sequences, and complex multi-emitter radar pulse streams with high time-bandwidth resolution.

Receiver Sensitivity & Selectivity Testing: Functions as a low-noise local oscillator (LO) substitute or a high-purity interference/blocking source for rigorous adjacent-channel selectivity, blocker rejection, and receiver sensitivity verification.

Automated Test Equipment (ATE) & Production Line Testing: Offers compact USB integration, fast switching speeds, and rich multi-language API support (C/C++, Python, LabVIEW) for high-throughput, automated manufacturing environments.
