The CR8894PXF+ from Calian is a 4-Element Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna (CRPA) that operates from 1189 to 1254 MHz in the lower GNSS band and 1559 to 1591 MHz in the upper GNSS band. It uses eXtended Filtering+ (XF+) and CRPA technologies to mitigate interference and jamming signals by forming up to 3 radiation-pattern nulls in each band, for up to 6 nulls total, with a null depth of 20 to 40 dB. The CRPA directs these nulls toward interference sources to prevent LNA saturation and maintain a usable GNSS signal that is compatible with COTS GNSS receivers. It also incorporates Tallysman Accutenna technology and a low-power analog interference detection and mitigation methodology.
The CR8894PXF+ incorporates XF+ marine filtering to reject Iridium and Inmarsat signals and provides more than 80 dB of out-of-band rejection across 400 MHz to 3 GHz. The integrated LNA provides a typical gain of 28 or 35 dB, depending on the selected configuration. This CRPA supports situational awareness through RS232 and RS422 interfaces, which provide NMEA messages containing jamming detection, mitigation status, jammer band, and estimated jammer direction.
The CR8894PXF+ requires a 5 to 16 V DC supply and draws up to 150 mA of current. It is available in an IP69K-rated pole-mount enclosure with either a TNC or N-type (female) RF connector. This CRPA is ideal for critical timing, navigation in contested environments, critical infrastructure GNSS, law enforcement, and public safety applications.
