Cavli debuted the CQS290 as a flagship series of LTE Cat 4 Android smart modules with 2G fallback capability. The module is powered by ARM™ Cortex A53 quad-core CPU architecture and built-in Adreno™ 702 GPU that delivers stronger graphics capabilities, better image quality, and excellent battery efficiency. CQS290 supports versatile features such as USB 2.0 with OTG function, Bluetooth 5.0 & Wi-Fi making it ideal for a wide range of applications such as automotive instrument clusters, vehicle telematics and POS terminals.
With extensive SDK support powered by AOSP, the module’s functionalities can be customised and tailored to suite an OEM’s solution requirements. The CQS290 is designed in 2 variants, CQS290-EA and CQS290-NA, with both variants supporting multi-constellation GNSS with GPS, BDS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and SBAS powered by the Qualcomm Location Suite Gen 9VT. The module comes with optional integrated eSIM with global connectivity powered by the Cavli Hubble platform..
CQS290-EVK-01– Evaluation Kit:
The CQS290-EVK-01 evaluation kits provide a simple, flexible and readytouse environment for evaluating Cavli’s CQS290 Smart cellular modules, as well as for designing and testing of cellular and GNSS applications. The kit is very user friendly, and has both USB and RS232 interfaces for development, testing and tracing. The kit comes with a builtin LTE Cat 4 Cellular Module, giving designers the flexibility to test and analyse the Cellular and GNSS capabilities of the Cavli CQS290 Smart module. The kits are to be used with a Windows PC via USB interface and can be used with an External activated SIM card as well if the Cavli Hubble Services are not required (not included).
