C16QS is a series of LTE Cat 1bis modules that comply with 3GPP release 14 specifications, specifically designed for IoT and M2M applications. It offers support for optional integrated GNSS, making it well-suited for location tracking applications. Additionally, it provides the option of an integrated eSIM, enabling global connectivity through the Cavli Hubble Device and connectivity management platform.
The C16QS module is ideal for IoT solution makers interested in switching from legacy 2G and 3G solutions to LTE. It has enhanced tracking features that process GPS data on the edge, independent LTE and GNSS power supply and sleep features, and low power modes, making it ideal for applications such as asset tracking, POS, remote monitoring, and energy metering.
The C16QS module is available in five variants tailored for specific regions: C16QS-EA for EMEA and APAC regions, C16QS-NA for the North American region, C16QS-LA for the Latin American region, C16QS-AN for the Australia and New Zealand regions, C16QS-WW for Global use case. It maintains pin compatibility with Cavli C42GM and C42QM modules.
C16QS-EVK– Evaluation Kit:
The C16QS-EVK evaluation kits provide a simple, flexible and ready-to-use environment for evaluating Cavli’s C16QS cellular modules, as well as for designing and testing of cellular and GNSS applications. The kit is very user-friendly, and has both USB and RS232 interfaces for development, testing and tracing. The kit comes with a builtin LTE Cat 1 Bis Cellular Module, giving designers the flexibility to test and analyse the Cellular and GNSS capabilities of the Cavli C16QS module. The kits are to be used with a Windows PC via USB interface and can be used with an External activated SIM card as well if the Cavli Hubble Services are not required (not included).
