CMD280 RF Variable Attenuator by Custom MMIC

The CMD280 is a wideband 5-bit digital attenuator that operates from DC to 30 GHz (L, S, C, X, Ku, K, Ka Band). Each bit of this GaAs MMIC attenuator is controlled by a single voltage of either 0 V or -5 V. The attenuator bit values are 0.5 (LSB), 1, 2, 4, and 8 dB, for a total attenuation of 15.5 dB with an attenuation accuracy of 0.1 dB. It has a low insertion loss of 3 dB at 10 GHz and can handle an input power of up to 24 dBm. The CMD280 is available as a die and is matched to 50 ohms which eliminates the need for RF port matching.
