SARA-R510M8S Cellular IoT Module by u-blox AG

The SARA-R510M8S from u-blox is an LTE-M / NB-IoT Module which has an integrated u-blox M8 GNSS receiver for multi-regional use. Based on u-blox’s UBX-R5 cellular chipset, it provides multi-band, multi-regional IoT coverage that complies with the 3GPP Rel. 14 standard. The module supports a data rate of up to 1200 kbit/s and offers state-of-the-art security that is suitable for IoT applications such as local data protection, zero touch provisioning, anti-cloning, and local secure chip-to-chip communication. It requires a DC supply from 3 – 4.5 V and supports UART, USB, DDC, USIM, and GPIO interfaces.

This module is optimized for extremely low power consumption in deep-sleep PSM and is compatible for OTA updates. It is available in a 96-pin LGA package that measures 26 x 16 mm with a GNSS antenna interface and is ideal for LPWA applications with low to medium data throughput rates, as well as for devices that require a long battery life, such smart metering, smart lighting, telematics, asset tracking, remote monitoring, alarm panels, and connected healthcare.
