The X-TR-DL-78 from Arralis is an X-Band Transceiver Module with an Rx frequency from 7 to 7.5 GHz and a Tx frequency from 8 to 8.5 GHz. It is a fully-integrated standalone transceiver solution that operates as a Up/Down converter for Low Earth Orbit (LEO). This transceiver operates in dual conversion superheterodyne mode using two LO’s allowing for greater rejection of unwanted frequencies. It consists of a high-precision clock for LO generation which can also be used as a reference for other modules or lock to an external system reference. This module can be used as a standalone module or combined with a modem/Software Defined Radio (SDR) to enable a fully functional X-band satellite communication system.

On the Tx side, it delivers a saturated output power of 2 W with a conversion gain of 30 dB and a phase noise of -123 dBc/Hz @ 1 MHz offset. On the Rx side, this converter has a conversion gain of 30 dB with a noise figure of 1.8 dB and has a phase noise of -123 dBc/Hz @ 1 MHz offset. It requires a DC supply from 12 to 36 V in Tx mode and 6 to 42 V in Rx mode. This transceiver is available in an enclosure that measures 96 x 91 x 33 mm with an SMPM edge mount connector. It is ideal for use in high-speed data communications, space communications, IoT, and security applications.
