SSG-30GHP-RC Signal Generator by Mini Circuits

The SSG-30GHP-RC from Mini-Circuits is an mm-Wave Signal Generator with a frequency range from 10 MHz to 30 GHz. It delivers an output power of up to +27 dBm with a phase noise of -130 dBc/Hz (at 10 kHz offset) and has a frequency resolution of 0.2 Hz. This signal generator can be used for the characterization of high-power millimeter wave components and systems. It provides a reliable high-power signal, which reduces the need for external amplification and gain control. The generator can provide CW/single-tone outputs at any supported frequency and power level, pulse sequences with varying frequency, power, pulse width (down to 0.5 µs), and pulse repetition interval (PRI) or automated frequency/power sweep and hop sequences.

The SSG-30GHP-RC is a high-power, millimeter wave signal source available at an affordable price point for labs and production test setups. It has USB HID and Ethernet (HTTP/Telnet/SSH) interfaces to provide easy compatibility and control with a wide range of software setups and programming environments. This generator requires a DC supply of 6 V and consumes less than 1850 mA of current. It is available in a module that measures 129.54 x 91.44 mm and has 2.92 mm connectors. It is ideal for use in 5G FR2 bands (n257, n258, n261), high power burn-in/life testing, K/Ku-band radar, wideband LO source, and microwave/millimeter wave radio testing applications.
