RFS-2G42G5050X+ Signal Generator by Mini Circuits
The RFS-2G42G5050X+ from Mini-Circuits is a Solid-State Signal Source Module that operates from 2.4 to 2.5 GHz. It has a signal generator that can support different types of applications and can also be used as a stand-alone high-power amplifier. This signal source can be configured to operate as a high-power amplifier, delivering a CW/pulsed output power of up to 50 W (47 dBm) with a power gain of 51.5 dB and an efficiency of 42%. It uses high-efficiency state-of-the-art LDMOS technology combined with adaptive frequency control for high efficiency. The signal source has built-in monitoring and protection for temperature, voltage, current, forward power, reverse power, and internal shutdown circuitry for added reliability under difficult operating conditions. It requires a DC supply of 28 V and consumes 4.25 A of current.
The RFS-2G42G5050X+ has integrated couplers and detectors for forward (FWD) and reflected (REFL) power detection and provides excellent reverse isolation and ruggedness with an onboard circulator. It can be controlled via an RS232 UART or USB interface to monitor forward and reflected power to support dynamic load analysis, temperature monitoring, current monitoring, shutdown alarms, enable/disable the signal source/amplifier, and reset protection alarms. This signal comes with full software support, including a user-friendly GUI application, a comprehensive application programmer interface (API) and programming instructions for both Windows and Linux environments, and a Labview™ instrument driver.
The RFS-2G42G5050X+ is available in a compact enclosure that measures 110.0 x 65.0 x 14.5 mm and is ideal for materials processing, food processing (heating, tempering, and pasteurization), microwave-assisted chemistry, plasma generation, plasma surface treatment, disinfection/sterilization, chemistry, medical (heating, hyperthermia, and ablation) and semiconductor RF generator applications.
