Delay Shifter Digital Phase Shifter by Menlo Micro

The Digitally-Controlled Differential Delay Shifter from Menlo Micro operates in the 3.6 GHz band. It is designed to provide up to four discrete delay states for applications such as 5G beam steering and phased-array antennas. This shifter is built on Menlos Ideal Switch technology and achieves a delay state change of 10 µs with a reliability of over 3 billion switching operations. This patented design offers several advantages over conventional switched phase shifters, including true differential time delay, miniaturized form-factor, long operational life, and excellent RF performance under extreme environmental conditions. This delay shifter can handle an input power of up to +44 dBm (~25 W) and has an insertion loss of 0.2 dB.

The Digitally-Controlled Differential Delay Shifter also supports the scalability of delay lines to include additional states and increase the frequency coverage for broadband operation. It consumes low supply current and is available in a package that measures 13 x 13 mm. This delay shifter is ideal for beam steering antennas, phased array antennas, weather/military radars, and DAS applications.
