SARA-R510M8S Cellular Module by u-blox AG
The SARA-R510M8S from u-blox AG is an LTE-M/NB-IoT Module with support for 5G LTE. It is based on u-blox’s UBX-R5 cellular chipset and the u-blox M8 GNSS receiver chip. This module supports a comprehensive set of 3GPP Rel. 14 features that are relevant for IoT applications, like improvements to power consumption, coverage, data rate, mobility, and positioning. It is pre-integrated with the u-blox M8 GNSS receiver and separate GNSS antenna interface, which provides highly reliable, accurate positioning data in parallel to LTE communication. The module requires a DC supply of 3.8 V and consumes 62 μA of current in PSM mode and 180 μA of current in eDRX mode.
The SARA-R510M8S delivers state-of-the-art security using secure boot, secure updates, and secure production implementations. It is compatible with MQTT Anywhere, MQTT Flex, AssistNow, CellLocate, and CloudLocate u-blox services. This module delivers a downlink data rate of up to 375 kb/s and an uplink data rate of 1200 kb/s. It is available in a 96-pin LGA module that measures 16.0 x 26.0 x 2.2 mm and can be controlled via UART, USB, DDC (I2C), USIM, and GPIO interfaces.
