Build a Single-Sideband (SSB) Upconverter with Mini-Circuits Parts
This video tutorial demonstrates how to build a high-performance single-sideband (SSB) upconverter system for X-band applications (8-12 GHz) utilizing Mini-Circuits’ SMIQ-series of GaAs MMIC IQ frequency mixers, low noise amplifiers (LNAs), high-rejection micro-ceramic filters, and several other discrete components making up the LO, IF and RF signal chains.
The demo utilizes a real assembly, designed and built in Mini-Circuits’ labs in Deer Park and Brooklyn, New York. Real-time spectrum analysis is used to illustrate the spectral purity of the system output.
