M4SWA4-34DR+ RF Switch by Mini-Circuits

The M4SWA4-34DR+ from Mini-Circuits is a GaAs SP4T Absorptive Switch MMIC that operates from DC to 30 GHz. It has an insertion loss of less than 4.8 dB and provides an isolation of more than 65 dB. This MMIC switch has a rise time of 23.1 ns, a fall time of 6.4 ns, and a settling time of 104 ns. It can handle an input power of up to +28.3 dBm and has a return loss of 17 dB (output). This switch also consists of a built-in driver designed for wideband operation. The absorptive design of this switch minimizes the reflection at the unselected ports. It enables fast, nanosecond switching across a wide frequency range with minimal gate lag effects.

The M4SWA4-34DR+ switch exhibits high linearity, which minimizes intermodulation products that are difficult or impossible to filter in multi-carrier environments or in the presence of strong interfering signals from the adjacent circuitry. This absorptive switch requires a DC supply of ±3.3 V and consumes less than 1.8 mA of current. It is available in a compact QFN package measuring 4 x 4 mm, which saves space in dense layouts while providing low inductance, repeatable transitions, and excellent thermal contact to the PCB. This SP4T switch is ideal for EW, ECM defense systems, radar, testing, and communication infrastructure applications.
