nRF54LV10A Wireless Chipset by Nordic Semiconductor
The nRF54LV10A from Nordic Semiconductor is a Multiprotocol Wireless System-on-Chip (SoC). It is designed for wireless products used in smart homes and other industrial applications requiring low power and increased lifetime. This SoC integrates a 128 MHz ARM Cortex-M33 core with a RISC-V co-processor, 1012 KB of NVM, 192 KB of RAM, a multi-protocol radio, a 32 MHz crystal, a security block, and serial/peripheral interfaces. It supports multiple protocols, including Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 6.0, 802.15.4, and a proprietary 2.4 GHz protocol. This SoC delivers a Tx output power of up to +4 dBm and a data rate of 1/2/4 Mbps (proprietary 2.4 GHz & GFSK). It has an Rx sensitivity of -97 dBm.
The nRF54LV10A also supports Bluetooth channel sounding along with LE 2M, LE 1M, and LE-coded technologies for enhanced throughput. This wireless SoC is equipped with multiple security functions, including ARM TrustZone, root of trust, secure boot, key management, side-channel protection and physical protection (tamper). It can be remotely controlled using serial interfaces (I2C, UART, SPI) and peripheral (TIMER, SAADC, TEMP) interfaces. This SoC requires a DC supply of 1.7 to 3.6 V and consumes 10.1 mA (Tx) & 3.4 mA (Rx) of current. It is available in either a CSP29 package measuring 1.93 x 2.29 mm or a QFN48 package measuring 6 x 6 mm. This SoC is ideal for wearable biosensors, medical devices, and asset tracking applications.
