MMA-273336D-M5 RF Amplifier by CML Microcircuits

The MMA-273336D-M5 from CML Microsystems is a GaAs MMIC Power Amplifier (PA) that operates from 27 to 33 GHz. It is designed for use as a power-stage amplifier in microwave transmitters and is suitable for VSAT, point-to-point radio, and military applications. This PA delivers a P1dB output of 36 dBm (~4 W), with a gain of 22 dB and a gain flatness of ±3 dB. It has an IM3 of -36 dBc (at 20 dBm per tone) and a return loss of 10 dB at both input and output ports.

The MMA-273336D-M5 can handle an input power of up to 20 dBm and integrates an on-chip output power detector. It requires a 6 V DC supply and draws 2.2 A of quiescent current. This amplifier is available in a 5 × 5 mm QFN surface-mount package.
