NORA-W36 Series RF Module by u-blox AG

The NORA-W36 Series from u-blox are Dual-band Wi-Fi 4 and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 Modules that operate in 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. They deliver a data rate of up to 150 Mbit/s (Wi-Fi) and up to 2 Mbit/s (Bluetooth). These modules can assume Bluetooth peripheral and central roles, or both simultaneously, and can be used both as a station or an access point for Wi-Fi. They are pre-flashed with the u-connectXpress software to simplify end-product integration and reduce time-to-market. The modules have a Realtek RTL8720DF host controller that configures the wireless communication using high-level AT commands without the need for expertise in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth protocol stacks.

The NORA-W36 Series modules support TLS encryption and MQTT protocols for secure communication with cloud-based applications and services. They include secure authentication methods like WPA2/WPA3, Wi-Fi enterprise security, and Bluetooth LE secure connections. They require a DC supply of 3.3 V and can be controlled via a UART interface. These modules are available in packages that measure 10.4 x 14.3 x 1.9 mm and have an antenna interface. They are ideal for industrial automation, smart buildings & homes, smart cities, metering & utilities, healthcare, and EV charging applications.
