4401-8-31.5 RF Variable Attenuator by Spectrum Control
The 4401-8-31.5 from Spectrum Control is a 4-Channel Programmable Attenuator that operates from 0.3 to 8000 MHz. It has an attenuation range from 0 to 31.5 dB with a step size of 0.5 dB and a switching speed of 0.2 µs. This bi-directional attenuator ensures uninterrupted RF when changing attenuation values and allows the attenuation channels to be operated independently or in a synchronized fashion where all attenuators change simultaneously. It can handle a CW input power of up to 28 dBm and has an insertion loss of less than 11 dB. The attenuator can be USB-powered (5V) and consumes less than 100 mA of current.
The 4401-8-31.5 can be controlled using USB or Ethernet 10/100Base-T interfaces along with a TTL trigger through an AUX port. APITech Weinschel’s Control Software can also be used in the operation of this attenuator which allows users to set up, control, and perform tests and measurements over a standard USB 2.0 communication interface. It is available in a module that measures 152.40 x 66.04 x 17.55 mm with SMA-female connectors and is ideal for Automated Test Equipment (ATE), 3G/4G LTE/5G / DVB fading test simulation, MU-MIMO, WiMax, Wi-Fi testing, mobile handover, and traffic simulation test environment applications.
