The QPF4538 from Qorvo is a Wi-Fi front end module designed for Wi-Fi 802.11a/n/ac systems that operates from 4900 to 5925 MHz. It integrates a 5 GHz power amplifier, SPDT switch and bypassable low noise amplifier into a single device. The FEM provides a transmit gain of 30 dB and an output power of 21 dBm while consuming 0.5 W. On the Rx side it provides a receiver gain of 14.5 dB with a noise figure of 2.5 dB. It has integrated die level filtering for 2nd and 3rd harmonics with 15 dB 2.4 GHz rejection on receive path. It operates on a 3.3 V supply and is available in a 16-pin, 2.5 x 2.5 mm surface mount package. This FEM is ideal for access points, wireless routers, set-top boxes and IOT applications.
