BACnet, Dark Mode & Other Goodies In IO Ninja V5.7.0
Tibbo released a major update to IO Ninja — their versatile communications debugging tool for Windows, Linux, and macOS.
Dark Mode
The highlight of this release is the comprehensive support for dark mode on all platforms. We put extra effort into polishing the juicy dark palette and ironing out visual glitches of the dark theme in previous IO Ninja versions. If you are a dark mode proponent like many of us here at Tibbo, you will love the new look of IO Ninja!
Ninjas wear black, after all!
BACnet
Recently, we received many requests for BACnet, a protocol widely used in the domain of building automation networks. As you know, we always try to steer our development efforts towards your needs, so here it is — please welcome the all-new BACnet MS/TP Analyzer plugin!
More Goodies
Other ingredients of this release include:
- A critical update to the Device Monitor for Linux (used by the Serial Monitor plugin);
- Support for encoded fields in the packet template engine and logging engine;
- Reactive statements in Jancy scripting simplify writing UI code for custom IO Ninja plugins;
- New compact UI for output & feature reports in the HID terminal;
- And many more bug fixes and other improvements, as always
Hardware = FREE subscription
Last but not least — for a limited time, we offer a few months of FREE subscription with all IO Ninja hardware purchases. If you are considering buying a Serial, Ethernet, or I2C/SPI tap for IO Ninja — now is the best time to do it!
