BL5340PA Series RF Module by Ezurio

The BL5340PA Series from Ezurio are Multi-Protocol Bluetooth + 802.15.4 + NFC Modules. They are advanced, high-performance modules designed to enable reduced development risk and faster time-to-market of multi-protocol wireless designs. These modules are based on Nordic Semiconductor’s nRF5340 SoC and nRF21540 front-end module, and consist of a dual-core ARM Cortex-M33 processor with 256 KB Flash and 64 KB RAM, a security block, serial interfaces, and an optional antenna connection. They support multiple wireless protocols, including Bluetooth Low Energy 6.0, 802.15.4 (Zigbee/Thread), and NFC, for enhanced connectivity. These modules deliver a data rate of 125/250/500 kbps and 1/2 Mbps. They provide a Tx output power of up to +21 dBm and have an Rx sensitivity of -108.5 dBm.

The BL5340PA Series modules support several Bluetooth features such as Bluetooth Mesh, 2M PHY, LE coded PHY, LE audio with isochronous streams, and AoA/AoD. These wireless modules are equipped with an ARM CryptoCell-312 function with trusted execution, root-of-trust, and secure key storage for safe transmission. They can be upgraded via FOTA capabilities using Nordic’s nRF Connect SDK, which allows remote control via USB, UART, QSPI, and I2C interfaces. These modules require a DC supply of 3 to 3.6 V and consume less than 133.1 mA of current. They are available in packages measuring 21.0 x 10.0 x 2.5 mm and have an MHF connector. These low-power modules are ideal for secure medical peripherals, Auracast – LE audio, smart building, and industrial automation applications.
