QPC0045 RF Variable Attenuator by Qorvo

The QPC0045 from Qorvo is a 6-Bit Digital Step Attenuator (DSA) that operates from 0.01 to 48 GHz. It has an attenuation range of 31.5 dB with 0.5 dB step size and an attenuation accuracy of less than 0.1 dB. This attenuator is based on Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) technology. It has a switching time of 140 ns and a settling time of 250 ns.

This QPC0045 can be controlled remotely using I2C or SPI interfaces and also provides the ability to control multiple DSAs simultaneously either using addressing or daisy chaining mode. This digital step attenuator has a control voltage of 3.3 V. It is available in a laminate-based OVM QFN package that measures 3.5 x 3.5 mm. This RoHS-compliant attenuator is ideal for EW, communications, and radar applications.

Qorvo’s QPC0045 is an ultra-wide band SOI 6-bit digital step attenuator (DSA).  It operates over 0.01 to 48 GHz and provides 31.5 dB attenuation range with a LSB of 0.5 dB.  It also achieves a low step error of less than 0.1 dB typical.

The QPC0045 also offers multiple control options including parallel, SPI, or I2C as well as the ability to control multiple DSAs simultaneously using either addressing or daisy chaining.

The QPC0045 is housed in a 3.5 x 3.5 mm on laminate-based package. This, along with the minimal DC power consumption, allows for easy system integration.
