The RC-3MTS-50 from Mini-Circuits is a mmWave Switch Matrix that operates from DC to 50 GHz. It is designed for 5G FR1/FR2 node testing, fail-safe and redundancy switching, and automated test equipment (ATE) applications. This unit consists of three independently controlled electromechanical transfer/DPDT switches, each configured based on a break-before-make architecture. This ensures that old and new signal paths are not momentarily connected during switching, thereby minimizing transient effects and improving signal integrity. This switch matrix provides an isolation of more than 60 dB, has an insertion loss of less than 1.10 dB, and a switching time of 25 ns.

The RC-3MTS-50 switch matrix can handle an input power of up to 20 W and has a return loss of 11 dB. It includes full software support, a user-friendly Windows GUI, and a complete API with programming instructions for both Windows and Linux. This RoHS-compliant switch matrix supports remote control via USB and Ethernet interfaces. It is housed in a rugged metal enclosure measuring 4.50 x 6.00 x 2.25 inches and has 2.4 mm connectors.
