The HLX Series from EM Research are programmable frequency synthesizers that operate from 50 MHz to 12 GHz (In-bands). The synthesizers provide an output power of up to 13 dBm and require an external reference from 5 to 100 MHz. The synthesized signal has a low phase noise with harmonics less than -20 dBc and spurious less than -60 dBc. The synthesizers require a supply voltage of 3.3, 5 Vdc and draw a current of below 100 mA. They are available in a ruggedized, modular-mount package that measures 0.8 x 0.8 x 0.15 inches.
