QM35825 Wireless Chipset by Qorvo
The QM35825 from Qorvo is an Ultra-Wideband (UWB) SoC that operates at 6.5 and 8 GHz. It is compliant with IEEE 802.15.4™-2024 protocol and delivers a data rate of up to 64.5 Mbps. This SoC has on-chip computing for ranging, angle of arrival, radar and data transfer functions, four flexible RF ports, LNAs, PA, RF switches, and a Cortex-M33 processor with a secure enclave. It has a Tx power of ETSI +10 dBm and an Rx sensitivity of -98 dBm. This UWB SoC supports channels 5 and 9 (6489.6 MHz and 7987.2 MHz) and operates in 802.15.4z HRP, BPRF & HPRF modes. It also supports FiRa™, Aliro, and Omlox ranging schemes with an accuracy of ± 5 cm and 3D AoA at ± 2°.
The QM35825 features secure UWB positioning with radar sensing and has exceptional immunity against multipath fading. This SoC can be controlled via Hi-Speed SPI, SPI, UART, and GPIO interfaces. It is available in a BGA-74 package that measures 4.08 x 3.38 x 0.63 mm. The SoC is ideal for asset tracking, indoor navigation, secure identification, geofencing for safety, Radar (for motion detection, vital sign monitoring, people counting, gesture detection), industrial and consumer IoT applications.
