New Marki Microwave High Linearity, Fast Recovery MMIC Limiter Spans DC to 40 GHz

The HLM-40 is a multi-stage GaAs Schottky diode limiter designed to protect sensitive RF components in high power conditions while maintaining high linearity during small-signal operation. The wide 40GHz bandwidth and 20W peak power handling makes the HLM-40 suitable for pulsed radar, electronic warfare, 5G and more. During the design phase, special attention was paid to linearity: a typical P1dB of +15dBm at 10GHz was achieved while providing flat leakage of +18dBm. By utilizing Schottky diodes rather than PIN diodes recovery time is expected to be improved. HLM-40 is available now as bare die and connectorized module.

The DLM-10SM is a tunable, dual channel GaAs Schottky diode signal limiter featuring excellent IP3, insertion loss, and return loss. The limiting level is adjustable with an off-chip bias network, and the two channels can be used for differential or single-ended signals. Typical input P1dB is +10dBm with an operating range of DC to 10 GHz. The DLM-10SM is available in a lead-free, RoHS compliant 3×3 mm QFN surface mount package.
